MOSES SEES YAHUSHA'S ESTEEM (EX.33)

The next day Moses said to the people, “You have committed a terrible evil, but I will go back up to Yahuah on the mountain and perhaps I will be able to achieve forgiveness for your wicked behaviour.”

So Moses returned to YAHUSHA and said, “Oh, what a terrible evil these people have committed, making deities out of gold for themselves, but please forgive their wicked behavior, and if not, erase MY name from the book you have written!”

IS THERE A BETTER PICTURE OF YAHUSHA OFFERING HIS LIFE FOR YISHARAL THAN RIGHT HERE WITH MOSES? OF COURSE MOSES IS NOT QUALIFIED TO MAKE THIS SACRIFICE SINCE HE WAS JUST A MAN. YAHUSHA WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO’S PERFECT BLOOD COULD REDEEM MANKIND.

But YAHUSHA replied to Moses, “No, I will erase the name of everyone who has done this evil against Me. Now go, lead the people to the place I told you about. And Look! My Messenger will lead the way before you. And when I come to visit Yisharal, I will certainly hold them responsible for their wicked behaviour”.

EVERYONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN EVIL BEHAVIOUR AND IT’S CONSEQUENCES.

Then YAHUSHA sent a great plague upon the people of Yisharal because they had worshipped the golden calf that Aaron had made.

Then YAHUSHA said to Moses, “Now get going, you and the people you brought out of Egypt. Go up to the land I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I told them, ‘I will give this land to your descendants.’ And I will send My Messenger before you to drive out the Canaanites and the Amorites and the Kittites and the Perizzites and the Kuis and the Jebusites. Go up to this land that flows with milk and honey. But I Myself will not be travelling among you anymore, for you are a hideous, stubborn and rebellious people and if I stuck around, you would surely be destroyed along the way.”

YAHUSHA HAS BEEN BETRAYED BY YISHARAL’S ADULTERY AND NOW HE’S KEEPING HIS DISTANCE.

And when the people heard these harsh words, they were sad and went into mourning and stopped wearing their jewellery (a sign of happiness) and fine clothes. For YAHUSHA had told Moses to tell them, “You are a stubborn and rebellious people and if I were to travel with you for even a moment, I would destroy you. Remove your jewellery and fine clothes while I decide what to do with you.”

So from the time they left Mount Horeb (Sinai), the children of Yisharal wore no more jewellery or fine clothes.

And Moses took his personal tent and set it up some distance outside the camp, temporarily calling it the ‘Tent of Meeting’, and everyone who wanted to make a request of YAHUSHA would go to the Tent of Meeting outside the camp. And whenever Moses went out to his tent, all the people would get up and stand in the entrances of their own tents. And they would all watch Moses until he disappeared inside, for as he went into his tent, the column of cloud would come down and hover at its entrance while YAHUSHA spoke with Moses. And when the people saw the cloud hovering at the entrance of the tent, they would stand and bow down in front of their own tents. And inside the Tent of Meeting, YAHUSHA would speak to Moses face to face (Face-to-face MEANS ‘HIS presence’, ‘intense debate’ or ‘anger’), as one speaks to a friend, and afterwards Moses would return to the camp, but the young man who assisted him, Joshua the son of Nun, would remain behind in the Tent of Meeting.

(THIS WAS NOT THE TABERNACLE SINCE YISHARAL’S ADULTERY HAD INTERRUPTED EVERYTHING AND TEMPORARILY SEVERED THEIR COVENANT. THIS WAS MOSES' PERSONAL TENT AND JOSHUA WAS IN THERE TOO (ONLY THE LEVITE PRIESTS COULD ENTER THE TABERNACLE).

One day Moses said to YAHUSHA, “You have been telling me, ‘Take these people up to the Promised Land.’ But you haven’t told me who You will send with me. You have told me, ‘I know you by name, and I look favorably on you.’ So if You really look favorably on me, then let me know Your ways so I may understand You more fully and continue to enjoy Your favor. And remember that this nation is Your very own people.”

Then YAHUSHA replied, “I will personally go with you Moses, and I will give you rest and everything will be fine for you My son.”

“If You don’t personally go with us, then don’t make us leave this place. For how will anyone know that You look favorably on me, and on Your people, if You don’t go with us? For Your presence among us sets Your people and myself apart from all the other people on the earth.”

“I will indeed do what you have asked, for I do look favorably on you, and I know you by name.”

“Please reveal Yourself to me and show Me your esteem today.”

“I will make all of My goodness and power pass by you, and I will proclaim My Name Yahuah, over you.

(SOMEONE’S NAME AND THEIR CHARACTER ARE CONSIDERED TO BE ONE AND THE SAME).

For I will show My favor to anyone I choose, and I’ll show compassion to anyone I choose. But you can’t look directly at My face Moses, for no person can see me and live . . . Look, stand near Me on this rock. And as My esteem passes by, I will hide you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove My hand and let you see me from behind. But My face will not be seen.”

MOSES CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF YAHUSHA’S ATTRIBUTES OF GOODNESS AND LOVING-KINDNESS & FELT THE INTENSITY OF HIS MIGHTY POWER.
